Poorly maintained, noisy, campground This campground is poorly maintained, with unlevel sites, and an archaic check-in process. It overlooks the Interstate so expect a lot of road noise. We never really feel safe when going to this campground, so have resorted to boondocking when in the Greensboro, NC area. We have stayed at this campground three times and it continues to get worse each time we go. We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.

In response to this review I would ask viewers to look at the Good Sam and Trailer Life Directories which utilize Veteran RVer’s using a standardized rating system in order to Provide Professional Unbiased park ratings. As of January 2012 Greensboro Campground is rated at 9/8.5/7.5. In order to address the previous reviewers concerns: Un-level sites: We are located in a natural environment in the rolling hills of North Carolina and the ground can shift and move over the time. Keep in mind that tire placement on RV’s is not standard and not all RV’s will park with their tires in the exact same location; what may be level for one RV may not be for the next. Rest assured our staff can assist you in leveling on any site. Archaic check-in
Archaic check-in process: Greensboro Campground utilizes a computerized reservation system and check-in is simple if you have a reservation or have been a previous customer. If you are a first time customer the Reservation system does require us to collect some basic information; Name, Address, Telephone, RV size etc. Much the same as if you were to check into a Hotel. One of the features of our campground is easy access to and from I-40 and I-85. Very few customers mention road noise as an issue of concern however some people are more sensitive than others. As far as safety is concerned there is a resident manager that is nearly always on site. And there are always fellow RVer’s nearby. This is much safer than being alone.
As far as maintenance in the past year we have: re-finished the swimming pool; purchased new pick-nick tables; Provide free Wi-Fi access; improved landscaping; Provide outdoor games available for check out. It makes me wonder if the reviewer actually stayed at Greensboro Campground. It is possible they have this campground confused with some other campground.
