False imprionsment, unlawful detainment, Gestapo tactics

There are 12 campsites; fee is $5 a day to camp, $5 a day to visit. Honor box, bring exact change. Do not pay extra days up front. You may not like it here. Friends said the Gestapo Custodian approached them about paying before they could even get their tents set up. He doesn't greet you pleasantly or try to be in the least bit helpful. The water is full of sulfur. They have an outdoor cold shower. Only one stall in the bathroom (but with running water and a sink). No electricity for campers. There are grills and fire rings. Sites are good sized but grass. Some sites are along the river. Around the area is a wildlife management district. Sometimes, you see wildlife. There is no park layout posted. There is a boat launch. A few parking spots. Be careful to come into the real entrance (signage not great). One of my friends got onto a side road by mistake and got her camper stuck in "sugar sand." I buy an annual pass for this park, supposedly entitles me to parking. In the middle of securing my kayak & transferring gear for a shuttle, the camp host said I needed to move my truck (from a place we have parked for 8 years). In doing so, I forgot to replace my pass in the windshield (& take iced water for a 10 mile kayak trip).Yikes. I GOT BACK & the custodian would not let us leave to get car. He told my shuttle partner he would get in big trouble riding with me. He falsely imprisoned me. He took pictures of my license plate!

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

The camp host custodian used disparaging tone about "these kayakers" in the middle of a group of kayakers loading and unloading. It is in direct contract to the rest of Marion County Parks and Recreation which promotes kayaking, has beginner classes, etc.
