Towns Bluff RV Park and Campground is looking for an honest, hard working, and friendly couple or single to serve as volunteer camp hosts starting immediately. We know this is short notice, but we were just informed our present hosts have to return home for an emergency. We are a small, quiet, county-maintained park located in the piney woods of South Georgia on the banks of the Altamaha River in the Bullard Creek WMA, near Hazlehurst, Georgia. We have a 25 site campground, primitive area, boat ramp, nature trails and day-use area. We offer a free hookup site with power, water, sewer, laundry, and WI-FI in exchange for a flexible 20 hours per week in host duties. Duties would include greeting and registering campers, cleaning restrooms, checking the day-use area of the park, and various others as needed. As long as your work gets done, we never count the hours. A park truck and two days off are provided. This is the perfect situation for someone who has never hosted in a RV Park or Campground. For more information about the park, visit www.townsbluffpark.com and contact park managers at 912-379-9303 or info@townsbluffpark.com, if interested.

My mom has been looking things that she could do and keep her kinda busy and active. She enjoyed camping a lot when she was younger, so I figured it might be a good idea to suggest this to her. But she doesn't own an RV.

One thing that we noticed is that the forms they ask us to fill up requires us to write down our age. The only problem is that he has yet to find a campground that would take in single workampers. Mom had passed away five years ago, so technically my dad is single. He's more fit than most 70+ year olds. The thing is, most of the campgrounds that are placing ads for workampers specifically mentioned that the openings are for couples. These people can be business owners, employees, or volunteers.

The major benefit is to be able to pack up and move around freely, which is greatly appreciate by many avid RVers. Included with that freedom is the ability to see family regularly. Other perks include reduced expenses (such as gas and campground fees), free attraction tickets and rig hook-ups, and time for recreational activities (such as boating, fishing, and hiking.)

I am still exploring opportunities and at the very beginning of my research.

I looked up on internet but I could not find any relevant answers. I am looking for a campground located in West America between 30 and 80 sites.

I have funds to buy one if any is on sell. What are the main issues to consider?

My wife and I are planning on going RVing full time to see the country. We are going to need to become workampers and we thought a good way to do this would be to workamp at State parks.

Does anyone have any experience of this and can share any tips. E.g. good state parks to work at, how you went about it etc.
