The amount that they are charging me to renew my membership is about $112++. Thing is, I just checked at Camping World and I found out that the membership fee that they are offering to new members for a 2-year membership for a lower rate.

Probably this is just me but shouldn't the renewal rate be cheaper to encourage existing members to stay? I know that they give a lot of incentives for new members, but the difference is just way too big.

Feedback on Passport America

I just got an offer to join Passport America for $39.95. We already have memberships with Good Sam and KOA. We are not full-time RVers yet, and so far these two memberships have served really well. I checked through their list of affiliated campgrounds, and there are not really that much my area. But from what I understood, Passport America offers 50% discount on the rates of their member parks, is that correct? Since I noticed that there are a lot of you guys that are members of Passport America, I'd just like to ask how is your experience with them? Are the campgrounds they offer good? Are there any restrictions (like when to book and for which kinds of campsites) that they impose?

Feedback is highly appreciated.

My brother and I signed up for a membership almost a month now, and we still haven't received anything from them. Is this a normal waiting period, or should I call them and follow it up?

Worth to Cancel AAA?

We just got a membership with Good Sam's Club and their roadside service that (from what I understood) will cover all of our vehicles, not just our Motorhome. We also have a membership with AAA. It's just a regular one. It costs us about $79.95 a year. Given our new membership and benefits with Good Sam's, do you think it's okay to cancel our AAA membership?

I called CoachNet for assistance. They said that they will send someone to help out within an hour. Instead of a tow truck, they sent a kid who had nothing more but jumper cables. He tried to start the car, and it still wouldn't start. He told me that it needed to be towed (no duh!). So I called CoachNet back about this. Imagine my frustration when they told me that I am only entitled to just one roadside assistance for free. They can send me a tow truck but it will not be covered and will be at my expense. Thing is, if they already sent out the tow truck out and not the kid to begin with, it would have been covered and I wouldn't have had to call back. I ended up having to get a garage nearby to send a tow truck to pick up my car, and still have to pay for it. Is there any way that I can get them still to reimburse me on this?

He's a full time RVer in a campground in Florida. His biggest concern right now is how to get his Motorhome brought back to Canada. He called us up about it because his wife threw a fit given the whole emergency situation thing. Don't camping clubs offer this service to their members?

My husband and I just bought our first travel trailer, a 2005 Nash 26z. Our first trip is scheduled for the first weekend in June.

Our son will be 5.5 months old our first weekend. At this poing he sleeps in our room, in a sidecar attached to our bed at night and he naps in his crib. Our trailer has 3 bunks, a jack-knife sofa, dinette and a walk around queen.

I'm thinking that the dinette would be the safest place to bed our son down for the night. I do have an inflatable bumper to use to keep him from rolling off.

My husband thinks we should put him down in the middle bunk for the night. However, I'm not sure I want to fish him out of a bunk for the middle of the night feedings. (I'm hoping the bottom bunk is where our labradors will sleep - since its at ground level.)

Originally I had planned to use a pack-n-play, but our floor plan does not allow for one to be set up, even with the slide out.

I'd LOVE any suggestions that you may be able to offer. On this, or camping with an infant in general!

Rather than pick a random club, it's a good idea to think beforehand about how many camping trips you will be taking in a year, where you'll be going, and your camping destinations. With this knowledge you can make a wiser decision of which club to join.

This 'http://www.campingroadtrip.com/rv-and-camping-discount-clubs/'>article on RV and Camping discount clubs should help.
