We came across an itinerary being offered by Adventure Caravans. Has anyone taken any of their tours? Are they any good?

Pet trail in Zion

Zion National Park has a trail where pets are allowed. I'm planning a short tent-camping trip and since I wouldn't be able to have a real fire, thought maybe I could still use a grill at a pay sites. Anyone know if a stage II fire restriction includes grilling in a permanent grill?

Yosemite Will Limit Hikes on Half Dome

Just came across this article while doing some Internet surfing about 'http://news.yahoo.com/yosemite-plan-means-fewer-hikers-half-dome-160215839.html'>Yosemite National Park limiting the number of hikers going up and down Half Dome every year. Pretty much have some mixed feelings about it. My husband and I love hiking and we've been up here a number of times, and it's really well worth the hike. But I agree. Going up and down here these days is just like going through the mall. There's just way too many hikers at one time that you lose the fun and relaxation you get to enjoy while hiking. Then again, the 400 lottery limit that they have initiated is a bit too restrictive that it looks like our trip up here last year may be the last one in a very long time.
