We had a great time meeting new people at out last gathering at Devils Fork State Park, this past September.

We have another great gathering planned, in which we will be celebrating Tearjerkers being around and bringing people together for the past 15 years. We would like to invite you to attend this event with us. It will be May 2-6, 2012 in Charleston, SC. at the Oak Plantation Campground.

Here is a link to our website. http://tearjerkers15thbirthdayparty.weebly.com/

There are past photos from a few of our gatherings, as well as a Registration Form and activities. There will be an activity to participate in everyday, if you chose to. Saturday Night Dinner will be catered and we will be having Awards Night following the dinner....Best Teardrop Camper, Best Vintage Trailer, Traveled the Furthest, etc.

Charleston, SC is a beautiful historic city and what better setting to host this Birthday Party.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask and get your Registration Forms sent in ASAP. We are looking forward to a strong turnout. Hope to see you there!

Apparently, our route will be taking us through an inspection station located in the Florida-Georgia border. The last time we've been through one, we were only asked a few questions by the officer. Is this going to be the same thing, or are they going to require us to open and inspect the entire RV? Not that we have anything to hide, but I just don't want to be caught off guard and get my kids worried when we pass through it.

Is there a max size cut-off for the campgrounds that are out there? How navigatable are the roads?

I am going with my children who are both under the age of ten but am concerned that NO will not have many activities for them. I know NO is a great place for adults but what about for children? Are there lots of family activities? I know this may sound ignorant, but is the city safe? I have read that NO has a very high crime rate. I would love to contribute money to the Gulf region since they have been through so much and can really use the support, however, if this is not a great place for my family and I to go, then perhaps NO isn't for us. Please let me know! Thank you in advance.

I-40 Closed at NC/TN Line

Just in case no one has heard about this;
