| Awesome Park right on the Delaware | |
I've stayed here twice so far in the off season. They have both pit toilets (composting) and modern toilets and showers. The showers are a little nasty, but if you are that dirty you can use them, otherwise ... that's what they make baby wipes for. The hiking in the park is great with several miles of the AT, among other hikes. I've only stayed at site 77, it's not right on the river, but very close. It's on the outside of the big field loop. I would not want to stay in the field. Sites 1-23 are all tent only sites. You can bring a camper, but there are no hook-ups. I think generators are allowed (I don't use one) but last time I was there someone was using one.
