Small sites, noisy and crowded
Sally J

August 29, 2011
We found this campground crowded and noisy when we stayed here, although that is quite understandable given that it was a summer weekend and the place is so close to Cedar Point. I just wish it wasn't so noisy, though, what with unruly kids and teenagers running about the place. It didn't help that the campground is so close to the freeway where the traffic is always heavy. Another thing I didn't like about the place was it has too many trees and the sites are too short. If you have a big rig, you have to get their special sites for their special rates or else you'll end up bumping a tree with your rear. They do have full hookups, though, including cable TV and Wi-Fi, and the staff are quite friendly.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Only 6 Miles to Cedar Point Amusement Park

If Sandusky and/or Cedar Point Amusement Park is your destination, this is a great campground. Our pull-thru site was long enough for our 40' fiver and truck and we had no problem with the location of the trees at our site. The back-in sites along the edge of the field look to be a bit shorter and most of them may be hard to back into due to the many trees but those are the sites where the cable is and those are the sites where everyone went and no one hit a single tree backing in. We were here over the Labor Day weekend and it does appear to be tent city but everyone was having a good time and that’s what camping is all about. There is a huge playground for the kids and it was well used over the holiday weekend. The pools were sparkling and probably could get crowded on holidays. The wifi is not free and at times ran slower than my Verizon card did. The proximity to Cedar Point makes this a great campground for the vacationi

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer 5th Wheel.
