A peaceful place to stay away from downtown noise

Hidden Valley doesn't have a lot of amenities. But what I like about it is that it's got a rustic atmosphere that just made me feel relaxed and at peace after a long day of sightseeing in San Antonio. It's way off the highway so it's free of road noise but close enough to downtown San Antonio. I didn't mind that the sites were all grassy and didn't even have a picnic table. They're not that roomy, but they're wide enough for us to use our slideouts. They've also got full hookups but no cable TV and the wi-fi is a bit slow. There's a nice field for letting pets run free. Lots of shady spots and lots of friendly people, including staff. We'll certainly come back for a visit next time we're in the area.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Although this place had full hook ups, it was a primitive type park...no rec halls, no restrooms/showers, no cement pads but the gravel and grass was sufficient, the creek across from the sites was nice, and the staff was very accommodating. The wireless internet was free and easy to sign onto. We were given a grand tour of San Antonio and what to do and see when we arrived along with maps and tour book for the city. We will stay there on our next trip through San Antonio.
