Let me start out by saying - I REALLY would like to give this campground 5 stars! It's in a wonderful, picturesque location near excellent trails, far enough away from the road that you're not waking up to the sound of an 18-wheeler. Far enough away from any light pollution that you will see more stars than you have in a long while. It's clean and the campsites are a good size, each separated by a small area of foliage.

We got a river-front site and had to walk-in maybe 50 feet (there were more that were further away). We woke up in the morning to see the Delaware River right from our site. There was a trail (though steep) at our site down to the river.

Portopotties were clean and relatively close by. The bathhouses were very basic, but clean.

The biggest downfall? Having to pay $7.99/bundle of firewood, just to have to chop it to tiny pieces and scrounge for branches to get it to light. It hadn't been aged one bit!

We stayed here in a Tent.

Nice camping by the river

Dingmans Campground is a very nice place, right on the banks of Delaware River and in a densely wooded area. We got one of the tent sites by the riverfront. It's a lovely, no-frills place, but they have clean showers and restrooms. I have only two complaints. One is that garbage wasn't picked up promptly in some areas, though it probably is because the campground was busy when we were there. The other is that we had the misfortune of having loud drunkards staying in the next site, who kept us awake nearly all night. Otherwise, it was a great camping experience.

We stayed here in a Tent.
