Peaceful mountain scenery

We stayed here in a tent during a busy Saturday evening. The location is at the base of the Sandia Mountain, so it is as nice as you'd expect. We paid less than the $27 listed on campingroadtrip. I think it was $18 for a tent site. Even though the campground was filled, it was fairly dark and quiet. The tent camping area seemed nicer to me than the RV area as the tent area had trees, and shrubs around. The RV area was more like a parking area with hookups--nice, but not as memorable. The shower house was clean.

We stayed here in a Tent.

Beautiful location, friendly, accommodating staff. Tent spaces were a little close, but intervening brush aided privacy. Showers are token-operated to conserve water, but the tokens are free.

We stayed here in a Tent.

We had a very nice stay here. We stayed a week longer than first planed. Really quiet place. Yes the roads are gravel but plenty smooth. This place has many vintage trailers and vehicles. No junk just neat stuff from the old days. Large sites and small sites. Laundry room, tent area with nice bath house. The workers guided us in after dark and even assisted us in hooking up. This park is so quiet if your a city person you will be surprised a place can be this quiet. Nice mountain views, Pet friendly, It seems to be the place for the million dollar rigs to hide. Well the ones who don't mind a little dust from the roads. Better make a reservation for they fiill up quick being so close to the city with no noise. The trip to Santa Fe up H14 is very nice. Gods country.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Dusty, rocky roads and a dumpy campground. 57 campsites and tenting areas. Laundry restrooms office museum, dump station and dumpsters at the entrance. Swings for the kids. Dogs roam freely without leash. 30 and 50 amp w/sewer connections are not convenient. Lots of barking dogs around the property.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
