	Nice small campground but no shade

White Tank is a nice small primitive campground (all campgrounds inside the main part of the park are primitive). Sites are well spaced and separated by boulders offering enough privacy. Each one has a picnic table, fire ring and grill. However, during the day there is little to no shade. The half mile Arch Rock Nature trail starts in the campground and the trail goes along the edge of one site. This means you can get a few hikers passing through the campground and even your site during the day. Nice sunsets. Big enough for small to mid size RVs. No running water only several vault toilets. We stayed here in a Truck Camper.

We found White Tank to be a very nice campground. There are only 15 sites and each site is surrounded or shielded by boulders, lending an air of privacy. The desert views are wonderful. There are no hookups here. No dumpstation or water either. Still it's worth staying here for the views. My only complaint is it can get crowded during the daytime because the campground is very close to a popular hiking trail and hikers often pass by to use the toilets. It shouldn't be a problem if you're hiking during the daytime yourself, but make sure your stuff is safe nonetheless. Also, this place is not good for big rigs because the sites are too small and the road too narrow. We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
