Local Directions: From Portland: Take Hwy 26 over Government Camp on Mt. Hood to Madras. Upon entering Madras, stay in the right lane. Turn right on 'D' St (third stoplight). Stay on main road and follow park signs for 14 miles. Deschutes Campground (loops A, B, C and Group Camp) is located 5 miles from the park entrance through the canyon, across the Crooked River Bridge.
