Modern - Clean - Well-run

From my perspective, this campground offers every convenience and amenity that I could reasonably expect outside an expensive resort. Located on Wyoming state Highway 16 connecting Interstate-90 to the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The sites are level, spacious and well-maintained, yet are remarkably quiet, especially those in the rear. There is a dedicated left-turn lane on the highway that helps make turning into the campground's entrance from the westbound direction trouble-free.

Upon our arrival, we found ample space to park our motorhome with car in tow to enjoy a prompt and efficient check-in by a courteous, efficient staff. We filled our propane tank at their big-rig accessible facility and were then escorted to the satellite-friendly pull-through site that we had requested. Roads through the campground are easy to maneuver and free from potholes and overhanging tree limbs.

Each site is was level, covered with clean gravel, surrounded by well-manicured lawns and were free from mud and debris even after a heavy rainstorm. Hookups were conveniently located and worked flawlessly. I was particularly impressed that this campground's Wi-Fi actually works, is simple to use and is reasonably fast.

Bathrooms and showers are clean and modern. Practically new washers and industrial-type coin-operated dryers expedited our laundry experience. Numerous nearby dining choices are available if desired.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Most recent stay was 7/31/16 - 8/01/16. We camped in a Tear Drop style RV, only 15' long w/o toilet or shower. We like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection. We rely on condition of campground's facilities near our site, so our critique is focused in that area.

Journey version: not your typical KOA, much better. Off the interstate, so it was quiet, no road noise at all. One of the better KOAs we’ve stayed at. We were directly across from restroom/shower/laundry building. Very impressed w/restroom-showers. Very clean and updated w/modern fixtures. Showers had rubber mats when you exit the stall & were in a separate private room w/small bench in changing-dressing area. Only CON was bench is very narrow and small because inside area of room was too compact. No hooks and shelves in shower and in communal sink area for your clothes, towels, stuff & all necessities that a camper needs

Campground itself is very tidy, neat, and maintained. All roads and site pads have gravel, no potholes and all level. Sites are wider/larger than most KOAs we’ve stayed at w/good shade at most sites, plus some upgraded sites have cement patios w/BBQ grill and outdoor patio furniture, can easily accommodate the big rigs. Sparkling clean swimming pool, cabins for rent, separate tent area on the grass and under shady trees.

We stayed here in a Teardrop Trailer.

Rarely does GS hit the mark with their ratings. They did this time. If you are traveling with other rigs inquire about the deluxe sites. They make good gathering spot. Site 55 is a "deluxe deluxe" site.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
