We try to stay in cabins at every Georgia State Park. We stayed at Black Rock in the early spring right after it reopened for the season. LOVED the hiking trails. We are a family of 7 with young to early teens children and dogs. Loved accessibility to Tallulahah Gorge. The dog cabin was a little rough compared to other ones in the state park system, but we would go back here in a heartbeat.

We stayed here in a 2-Bedroom Cottage.

We have visited Black Rock Mountain State Park CG a few times in the Fall. The first time we visited we came in the dark and passed the small road (that looks like an entrance to a neighborhood) a few times pulling the trailer. The road to the top is a steep climb with a 10% grade in approx 2 miles. A strong tow vehicle is needed for this pull if you have any size/weight worthy trailer. There are some tight turns in the CG also which is why they recommend that campers beyond 25ft are too large. We have pulled our 27' camper up it with no issues - the brakes are the way down will be tested as well. Once you get on top of the mountain to the CG, there is quite a view. You will often wake up in the morning to fog - it's like you are in the clo
