Great Park

January 29, 2014
We came here for a national convention of Special Military and Retired camping club. The site we were assigned was next to a very large bottle brush bush. I thought there were critters living in it but did not find out for sure until we got home and found a field mouse had climbed into our RV via the power cord. It took lots of cheese and peanut butter to catch him. The club house, etc. were awesome.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

This is an older park with 1,500 sites and is full in the winter. It is divided into three areas each with a clubhouse, kitchen, meeting room, pool, bath with showers and laundry room. The sites are all grass, level, full hookups, with a smattering of trees. We spent the Labor Day weekend attending an FBA Fun and Sun BBQ contest. Over 100 people in the group and everyone had a great time.

Oh yes, an 18-hole golf course, too.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.
