We stayed here for three weeks in May. We thought we wanted full hookups on our first night, but after seeing the partial hook up sites by the river, we learned we can get a weekly pump out and that was all we needed to pick up and move down to the river.

The full hookup sites are crowded with annual members. Some don't take great care of their lots. Still early in the season though and they may not have done a spring clean up yet. Our site with full hook up had dog poo left from the previous season. Site was very small and our fire pit was right outside the neighbor's window.

Our river site was pretty wide, some of the sites were narrow. The park was very nice about letting us change our minds and move after one night. We spent mornings and evenings just sitting and looking out at the river. It's quiet and peaceful there.

Our stay included Memorial Day weekend and as expected, the park filled up and got noisier. Everyone was having a great time, despite the rain. By Monday morning, the park emptied again and we spent another week in quiet.

The buildings are all well- kept, except they are kind of musty. I think some better ventilation would work for them. The pool looked nice, but we never used it. The hot tub was empty. That was a bummer. The bathhouse could be cleaner, especially after the holiday weekend, but it's not awful.

The Bear Cave is worth the $3. It's an adventure of sort.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

I am disgusted with the way we were treated at this site. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the "manager" who was very rude. We had 3 dogs, 8 children & 8 adults with us. She saw the breeds of pets we had from the very first night camping at their facility. At dinner, the following evening, the "manager" showed up screaming at the people at the lot next to us because of their breed of dog. At this point, only one adult and 2 dogs were at our site, because we were at the Warren Dunes. She then told him he and the dogs had to leave as well. She called the police and stated there were "15 people fighting" on our lot. The rest of us showed up after the police were there. It was almost dark, the kids and us hadn't eaten dinner yet, and ALL of us traveled over 2 hours just to camp there. When we asked for our refund back she said NO. When we asked why, she stated they don't allow that breed of dog and if we don't leave, she will call the police again. The pool was closed as well and when I read an older review about this facility, a family got E Coli from their pool! We had a cultural diverse group. There may have been some racial profiling involved.

We stayed here in a Tent.

This establishment is NOT pet-friendly, and the staff is extremely rude. We arrived and were shown our site and advised that our dogs needed to be leashed and we had to pick up after them which wasn’t a problem. The next day, we were greeted by MI state police (4 squad cars) and advised that we had to leave and our dogs aren’t welcome. We had 8 children with us and it was approaching dark. We were tossed out like trash left “homeless.” And then, when we asked for our money back, they advised us to leave or the police would return. These people are criminals, and we are also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

We stayed here in a Tent.
