| Nice and Quiet - Best TT I've stayed at so far but still needs investment | |
This is a large, quiet rural campground whose sites are grouped into different areas that are spread along way apart. We stayed in site D31 by the Colorado river in a full hookup 30 amp back in site. The site was flat, with gravel and grass and had a picnic table but no fire ring/grill. The services worked well. The sites are fairly close together but staggered to help with privacy.
WiFi is only available at the activity center where there is a laundry, pool table, library, club room, central fire ring and other facilities. The roads in the campground, like every TT I've stayed at, were uneven and full of pot holes. Some of the facilities looked old and run down, e.g. basketball court, tennis court and the sites were overgrown and the outlets looked old. However, some things looked good, e.g. the mini golf and pool. There are some nice hiking trails too in the campground and a boat ramp for easy access to the river.
Overall this is a very peaceful campground and worth staying at if you're a member and can stay for free or for a nominal fee. However, I wouldn't pay $40 a night. With some investment this could easily be turned into a 5 star campground.
We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome. | | Comments (0) |
