ok for small rv or tents

This is an ok park for small RVs or tent camping, but try another park for big rigs. Nice lake area in campground if you like mud holes and mosquitoes. Great horse riding trails/stables and dry campsites for equestrian friends. Pretty nice swimming beach in different area of park in season. Great golf course!

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

We just returned from a tent-camping trip at Hard Labor Creek State Park. We were so unimpressed and actually couldn't pack up quick enough to come home. We camp monthly at other GA State Parks and have NEVER had such a bad experience. The ONLY thing we liked about the campground was the site we chose, which was multi-level and it had a great stone picnic table. Other than that, ew.

Like I said, we are tent campers so I'm sure others in their grand motor homes survived just fine. The "lake" and "creek" sites are basically no more than muddy bogs. I can only imagine what the mosquitoes and snakes are like at those sites. The bath houses are not very conveniently located... prepare to walk in pitch blackness in the middle of the night as there are NO street lamps or other lighting at the campground EXCEPT for what people have rigged up on their campers. Bugs were TERRIBLE especially in the bath houses. I was greeted by a scorpion

.

OK Park...

Just did an overnighter at Georgia's Hard Labor Creek State Park. While the park was OK, the other campers were not being too loud.

The entire staff, including the volunteer camp hosts, were very nice. Since it was just a one night camping trip, I was not able to make reservations (Georgia requires a 2-night minimum on weekends for reservations). Check in was quick and painless. I was told 2 of the 3 loops were closed for winter, so I chose site 27. The bathhouse was nearby and kept very clean, but hot water in shower was tepid at best with very low water pressure. I was a little confused as to why the only place to dump trash was in the dumpster at the front of the campground. Trash cans at the bathhouse for were for aluminum cans only. There are 2 walking trails of 1-mile each. There are also equestrian trails and a camp, but not having a horse I didn't bother checking those out.

I'll try another park before going back to Hard Labor.

We stayed here in a Popup Trailer.
