Happy, Modern, Family Campground in a Nice Setting

Only about two miles from Exit 62 of I-95 (Connecticut Turnpike), past beautiful homes with well-manicured grounds, this is a friendly, modern, well-run family-oriented campground. They accommodate tent campers, pop-up campers, travel trailers and motorhomes. We were assigned an open, pull-through site with full hook-ups grouped conveniently together and featuring a concrete pad with picnic table. The site could have been more level, but we were able to compensate with blocks.

No hassle, unencrypted high-speed Wi-Fi is included in the nightly charge. It was fast enough to stream video. The included cable TV hookup offers dozens of both analog and HD digital channels, which we rarely find at most campgrounds. Power connections included 50-amp, 30-amp and 20-amp outlets. Sewer connections were clean and modern. Water pressure was just right.

There are campsites surrounding a pond with sand beach, open campsites both pull-through and back-in, wooded campsites on a hill representing far more variety that we usually find. Although this campground does not take credit cards, their courteous representative took my reservation by phone, greeted me warmly when I arrived and accepted a personal check for payment.

The many children camping with their families had plenty to do with a swimming pond, rope swing into a nearby stream and well-equipped playgrounds. There is a small well-stocked store on site. We had a great time.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

we had a really nice time here at this park. the grass was well kept and mowed nicely. however there were ticks infested in the grass which was probably the only negative aspect. otherwise the facilities were pretty clean and the people were very friendly.

We stayed here in a Class B Motorhome.
