Unbelievable State Park

I picked this place because none of the real RV parks in Coulee appeared decent to me. I knew nothing about the state park and had never stayed in a Washington state park. After making reservations online, we left the Cascades and trekked our way to the state park.

The check-in process was a little weird, as me and a few other RVers had to call on a phone to get our location. After that was done, we finally made it to our spot. I was blown away!! The park was immaculate. Well maintained, clean, and nothing but beautiful blue skies and rugged wilderness.

I was impressed to say the least. This place knocks the socks off of any state park I have stayed at in Texas, I'm ashamed to say. Maybe Texas could learn a thing or two by coming here!!

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

We enjoyed two nights here just prior to Memorial Day. Our FHU site was in the south camping loop right on the water. We had beautiful views of the lake and Steamboat Rock. The weather was amazing and although the water is still cool we saw some intrepid teenagers swimming. There is a swimming beach, children's play area, bike trails, hiking, boat launch and small concession. All in all a very nice park!

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

The park is beautiful with lovely sites, unfortunately the mosquitoes, gnats, and no seeums loved it too. They sprayed twice while we were there and that just made the various bugs angry and really attacked then. They to find some sort of spray to KILL the bugs!

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
