Our Hometown campgrround

This is our hometown campground. We camp here at least 10 weekends a year. I will say the bathrooms could definatly use a spruce up. The shower houses are not too bad. All of the roads AND site pads are paved. Not something you see at a lot of campgrounds. Cowan Lake SP has great hiking trails, a commissary that has absolutly everything including a grill. This CG has two nice pet areas. They are heavly wooded to keep pets cool. Thus, with all the shade this leaves very little grass. If you experience rain during your stay it can be messy, bring straw. The lake has a 10 mph motor limit. We don't boat, but this pretty much eliminates the "roudy" camper/boater crowd. Overall, this is a great campground for the family.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

We had a very good time during our stay. The shower house could be better located or more added for campground's size.
Our site was in poor condition muddy and very unstable to walk thur.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.
