Beautiful Mountain Backdrop.

We have a very nice view overlooking the valley I guess you call it. To the back of our camper is a mountain with so many rocks. I wish I had a 3D camera to be able to show the depth of the beauty of the scenery here. The campground is on the side of the mountain. Our site overlooks the other campers. If I collected rocks then this would be the motherload. There are lots of trails to hike and collect rocks. I know nothing about rocks but if I did I could definitely haul away a bunch. The visitor center is nice and the museum in Deming is awesome. It is a 10-mile drive but worth it.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Rockhound SP has sites with electric and water, as well as dry camping. There is a dump station. Sites are spacious with covered picnic shelters. Campground is on a hill, facing west, so there are beautiful desert sunset views and night views of Deming. Campers are allowed to collect rocks within the park. Helpful staff at Visitor Center.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
