Local Directions: Located at Governor Thompson State Park, 17 miles Northwest of Crivitz. From Crivitz, follow County Road A West out of town. From A, turn left (West) onto County Road X, and follow X to Parkway Road. Turn right (North) on Parkway Road. After 0.5 miles, turn left (West) onto Ranch Road. Follow Ranch for 1.5 miles to Paust Lane.

Description
Remote Camping

Johnson Falls
- 1 walk-in/backpacking site, one-mile hike from north shore
- 3 canoe campsites
Seymour Rapids
- 4 canoe campsites
Medicine Brook
- 3 canoe campsites
There is no fee for these remote sites, but a permit from the state forest headquarters is required. Sites are available on a first come, first served basis and are limited to a one-night stay.

Boat-in campsites are accessible by watercraft only, sites can be reserved year-round at:
- Loon Landing
- Mallard's Cove
- Eagle's Nest
- Honker's Hideaway
- Crane Bay
- Heron's Retreat
- Thunder Mountain View
