We planned to stay at this campground while traveling west on I-40 and pulling our Aliner. ERROR! For all practical purposes, Shell Lake Campground is closed.
We stopped here on May 8th. There were no other campers present. The office was closed. The bathrooms were locked.
Adjacent to the property was a motel. The desk clerk told us that for camping, we were to register at the motel and they would give us a room key so that we would have access to a bathroom and shower. No thank you! Just too weird. | | |  Comments (0) |
