My husband and I were looking forward to returning to the Yorks area after several years and were completely disappointed with rude owner of this campground. It took almost an hour to set up a tent. We can usually pitch in 10 minutes but the site was so rocky. So once that was done we decided to walk the beach, stopping at the office to explain that there was wood left in our fire ring (since they kick you out unless you buy wood there or show a receipt). We were told they actually collect that (cheap but oh well). Later, I went for a shower and overheard the owner informing her husband to go get that wood. The people on letter G site had no right to that. She went on quite some time even saying I looked difficult so she pawned us off on an employee to check in. Horrible place they have port a pottys and a large bug ridden swamp.

We stayed here in a Tent.

Hidden gem near the beach

Great campground, a real hidden gem. We had one of the RV sites upfront and it was nice and flat. Strong wifi in that area too. Just remember to ask the owners for both wifi passwords at check in! Around the back of the campground were a number of tent sites. Rustic tent sites for old fashioned camping. Some were by a beautiful lake. The campground is so centrally located. You could walk into town and to the beach by hey trolley also stops right outside the entrance. Would stay again.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.

This small campground on about four acres is just a short walk from York's town center and less than a five-minute walk from the beach. Although this campground does not offer spectacular views of the sea, or more than the most basic amenities, the level, spacious sites do provide full, modern hookups for a lower nightly rate. Bring cash because they don't accept checks or credit cards. We arrived late in the day. The owners graciously accommodated our coach until we could visit an ATM the next morning.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
