Description
Our Campground.

Homestead by the River "Family" Campground, is a "Campground" not an RV Resort nor RV Park. It is family owned and operated by Chris and Ruth King with the help of George and Laurie. We are located in the lower part of the Saco River which makes it safe for canoeing and kayaking. Tube down the river, swim or fish. Our sites we have been told are large, you can choose from full sun to shaded. We have a very large childrens play area, basketball court, table tennis (someone is always looking for a game) horse shoe pits. We have families that come back 3 or 4 times a season, so we must be doing something right!

Beautiful Quiet Cozy Campground with a Farm Feel

Was surprisingly impressed when I first arrived. The driveway in was like arriving at a Kentucky ranch complete with white picket fence and horses.

We had a back in full hookup grass site with 30 amps. The site was very long and wide and overlooked a field and was nicely spaced from our neighbors. The bath house was clean with private showers that are coin operated. The laundry worked well and was reasonably priced.

The Saco river runs by offering a picturesque view, especially for tent campers whose sites are right by the river. In addition, you can easily canoes/kayak from here.

Would've been 5 stars if the WiFi worked from the site. Had to go to the office - but it worked well there.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.

Beautiful campground with horses, farm animals and a beautiful river that surrounds it. Idyllic. The sites are huge and generous so you're not staring into each other's RV. Fantastic for kids with huge playground area. Facilities are well kept. People are super friendly. Wifi is strong only near the office but fades around the full hookup sites. It really is a relaxing place. Friendly people. We would stay again.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.
