Good for a Night's Stay

December 9, 2015
Since this campground is nearest to the Camping World store in Garner, and I had Monday morning business there, I booked a one-night stay. After a long drive, I arrived late afternoon on Sunday, November 29, 2015 and stopped near the office. Shortly after I arrived the owners drove up in a pickup truck, checked me in and escorted me to my site, which had full hook-ups.

Despite rainy weather that evening, I was able to get settled quickly on my level, spacious pull-through site and enjoyed a quiet night's rest. Since my coach is entirely self-contained and I was traveling solo I didn't need other amenities, so the lack of Wi-Fi, cable TV, playground and store for supplies at this facility was not a problem. My rooftop antenna could pull in all of the channels that I wanted to watch and my Verizon cellphone had four bars of 4G signal there, giving me fast Internet access.

Most of this campground appears to be occupied by long-term residents. This campground does not offer any attractions for tourists except convenient access from Highway 70 and spacious level sites with full hook-ups. That makes it okay for a night stay or for long-term residents but I don't consider this campground to be a vacation destination. Owners were courteous and helpful.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

For a true camping experience

No restrooms, cable TV, Wi-Fi, pool, play ground, anything. If you are looking for the true outdoor living experience, this is the best place for you. You will literally be disconnected from all daily amenities we take for granted. They claim that some of these additions will be installed soon but we've been there twice and nothing yet. We probably will not be staying here again. The only plus was all the space we had and the mass amount of other RV's around. Go to this site to bring out your inner wild side.

We stayed here in a Truck Camper.
