| Closest park to DC | | Written by TarHeelCamper on January 13, 2012 |
We found it a bit pricey, and the hookups are a bit strange. Otherwise, the sites are a nice size and you don't feel like you're dropped in the middle of a big field. This is the closest park to DC and the prices are reasonable for the cost of living around this area. We have been here twice, and both times didn't get the best customer service at the front office, hence the three stars. If you don't care about being ignored for 5-10 minutes, I'd consider it four stars.

| Pricey but worth it | | Written by serogers on September 2, 2011 |
At first we thought the rate for staying in this campground is way too pricey for our taste, but in the end we found that it's worth it. The location is very convenient for sightseeing in DC and Baltimore. Also, the prices at the cafeteria and general store are very reasonable. Full hookups available, with excellent wi-fi and cable TV as well as great mobile reception. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area so if it's your first time to visit, you can just ask them what you need to know. The only negatives we saw are the sites are too close together and are not very level. But the campground has a policy that you can move to a different site if you're not happy with the one you have at no additional cost.

| Ok park to see DC | | Written by BluebirdBob on October 3, 2010 |
Our site 1414 was small for our 40fter. Road to it narrow.
Utilities at front of site when you back in. Be prepared to have extensions for your electric, etc.
For price of $55 per night, I expected better.
Only cg close to DC so they have you.
If other cg's were in the area, would have gone there.
Staff friendly, cafe is inexpensive but good food.

| Nice Park | | Written by dall55 on July 30, 2010 |
We pulled in here one night when we were too tired to go any further. This campground is huge but we got a site and got settled in with no problems at all. The campground is clean and very well manicured. Would like to stay here again for a little longer than overnight.

| Convenient to DC and great besides! | | Written by Western Reader on June 29, 2010 |
A super park with excellent amenities. One of the best features is a daily seminar on how to get around on the DC metro system using day passes, etc. Why drive into the city when you can take the metro bus/train! The staff is courteous and helpful, even going out of their way to solve problems. Park is clean, and quite large. Spaces for RVs are generous. Daily prices are on the high side, but we felt our visit was worth it.
