Stay away unless you bring lots of bug spray. Ok, I know it's south Texas near the coast, but as soon as I got out to view the campsite before backing rig in, I was eaten alive by gnats, mosquitoes, TICKS, and some other huge flesh eater - and that was just the welcoming committee. This park needs some serious updating from road and directional signage to almost everything else. Don't dare try to come in after dark. From the entrance throughout, very dark. The roads are potholed up and not gravel but dirt. DUSTY DIRT. Nice pool area uses cheap $4 Walmart plastic chairs, not a one lounger. Booo! About half the sites are are full-time weekend warriors, and many of these need to be reminded of the clutter and grass cutting rules. It IS close to fishing in the bay and coast of Rockport, but little else to do in the area. There are LOTS of other campground choices near by.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
