Good Campground for I-85 & I-95 Travelers

January 13, 2013
This campground is just a short drive from I-95 but is far enough away from the highway to be country-quiet. We liked the way the sites were laid out, with plenty of space between them for privacy and sliders. Each comes with a picnic table and fire ring. There are both open and wooded sites that all appear to be well-maintained. They have a small store with the basics, a lounge, fast encrypted Wi-Fi and offer cable TV. Since we have satellite TV and were able to pick up more than 30 digital TV channels with our antenna, we opted out of the cable TV and saved a few bucks. The woman at their check-in office could not have been friendlier or more accommodating about what I was requesting, even offering to escort us to the site. Since it was mid-winter when we stayed there, their pool was closed. This campground is a conveniently-located, quiet, restful place to spend a night or two.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

We pulled into the campground at close to 5pm and was greeted by a friendly lady. She accommodated us by putting us near the lake. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Grounds and nature trail were well kept. We would stay there again if we needed a place to stay.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.

A good place to stop when traveling on I-95 between the Northeast and Florida. Pull-through sites so we did not have to disconnect our car.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
