Your only choice for full hookups in park

For RV owners who wish to camp with full hookups in Grand Canyon Village, Trailer Village RV Park is the only choice. This campground has 84 paved pull-through sites (separated by gravel) of which 80 offer full, modern hookups with 50/30/20 amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV, picnic tables and barbecue grills. The largest sites can accommodate any size RV with ample space to park a towed or towing vehicle.

Check-in is at kiosk between the entrance and exit roads. The staff was professional and accommodating. During our one-week stay, we never had any issues with our electric or water service. There are small trees scattered throughout the campground, but they won’t interfere with satellite TV reception.

There are restrooms but no showers or laundry facilities on site. The laundry and showers are about a 1/2 mile away in a separate location. Showers require eight quarters ($2.00) for eight minutes. Washers and dryers also use quarters. Unlike most other commercial campgrounds in this price range, Trailer Village offers no Wi-Fi for its guests nor does it have a swimming pool, a dog run or recreational facilities aside from what is available elsewhere in this national park. Cellphone service and their data rates are poor. There are, however, excellent paved biking/hiking trails and free shuttle bus service which connects this campground with the well-stocked general store, restaurants and the rest of the park.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

There is very spotty cell phone reception in this park, the bath house does not have showers. These are not effecting my rating because I didn't see them as drawbacks but I wanted to let other know. The sites do not have much shade we went in March so we didn't care. There were always people walking around picking up trash and the bathrooms were very clean and had hot water. The shuttle bus picks up right at the campground which was so convenient. We got to park our vehicle and not think twice about it the whole time we were there. If we were going back to the grand canyon we would stay here again for sure!

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

We arrived 10/1 without reservations; do not do that, we were lucky someone left early. Camp sites are asphalt and on a slant. Showers are an extra $2, most use their own showers, therefore you need to level. No wifi, although some visitor sites say you can use the lodges, not so, General Store is slooow. Buses run 10-15 minutes at the front of this site entrance Elk and deer roam freely throughout the site, be aware of where you step. They may greet you anytime 24/7. We would stay here again.

We stayed here in a Class B Motorhome.

The FHU site was gravel and level. We liked the fact that we could catch the shuttle bus right at the park and take it to all the viewing points and the visitor's center. Even though it was May 10th, it still snowed!!

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

This had all the hook-ups we could want and helpful staff. The bus service was great and would take us anywhere we needed to go. Would stay again. Stayed in the winter so was a little cold. Pipes froze a night and was fixed within 30 minutes.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
