A typical Corp of Engineers Park

I made a mistake by reserving my site through Recreation Dot Gov. reservation system. The site I got assigned would be ideal for a pop-up camper not a 32' fifth wheel. It took me over 30 minutes of maneuvering to get into the spot although not correctly placed it was the best I could do. It was impossible to pull through from either direction without hitting the connections. I ended up backing into the site. The park is nice and clean, some sites are 20' long and some are over 100' long. All sites overlook the lake. It is about 10 miles from town and WalMart. It was a lot farther from I-10 than I thought when I made the reservation. The boat ramps are very nice. There is only 30 amp power and water. No wi-fi and the over-the-air TV signals are limited. There are no street lights and it is deadly quiet at night.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.
