Awesome place for stargazing

As far as amenities go, this place doesn't have anything. No hookups, no wi-fi or cable, just pit toilets and water faucets. But it's a campground in a national park so that's expected. Anyhow, we came here to gaze at the stars and we got just that. Marvelous! With the campground's elevation at 9000 or so feet, it feels like you can just reach up and pluck the stars from the sky. The sites are not big-rig friendly, though, and the management has restrictions on how long your vehicles should be for staying here. Only one pull-through site available. It's really an awesome place, though, with lots of trails leading to the glacier parts of Wheeler Peak.

We stayed here in a Popup Trailer.
