Quiet, beautiful

The first come first served sites go fast in the summer, so try to be there by 1. The loop with all back-in sites has easier access to the river. We think it's prettier, but those sites are pretty small and if you have a trailer over 16' or so you may need to park your tow vehicle elsewhere. The bathrooms are so so, no hot water or showers. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED WITH YOU. There is no camp store and nothing really available in Medora either, which is still a 20 minute drive back into town. But the place is gorgeous and quiet and the park is lovely and less crowded than more famous parks.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

Great evening programs

Our site was nothing special, but we got one of the last two sites. There are no reservations so if you arrive late afternoon in the summer, you may be out of luck. The evening ranger program was good and well-attended. The park is beautiful.

We stayed here in a Tent.
