This small generator-free campground, open from early June to late September is located 9 miles east of the Northeast Entrance of Yellowstone Park. Both wooded and open sites are available and a few are large enough to accommodate bigger RVs. There is a walk-in tenting area for those who wish to camp away from their vehicles. Some of the sites have level pads but this is a small, primitive camping area so come early if you need a flat place to park your RV. Potable water is available from hand pumps and restroom facilities are vault toilets.
The nearest amenities and pay phone are available 9 miles away in Silver Gate and Cooke City, Montana which are located outside the Northeast Entrance of the park.
For those interested, hiking and fishing is available within a short walk or drive of this campground.
