Beautiful location in pine forest, well maintained, but not deluxe accommodations. Community well, pit toilets. Good location to headquarter your tour of the park. Close to Old Faithful, Yellowstone Lake and the Grand Tetons.

When we checked in at this campground, the ranger warned us that the night before a bear had attacked a guy sleeping in a tent because he had cooked his supper and did not clean up. The bear smelled the cooked food on his clothes and attacked him. We visited Old Faithful, Little Grand Canyon, sulfur pots, etc. It was a beautiful experience especially for the kids.
