Beautiful Campsites & Friendly Camp Hosts
July 25, 2017
Oak Point Campground in Shawnee National Forest is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever camped in considering that I have been camping for over a half century! The sites are very large and private, with nice woods in between all campsites. The grounds are immaculately clean. It is rare for national parks to offer electricity or water, and this campground offers both on quite a few sites. The camp hosts were very helpful and friendly. You could tell they take pride in their work and want everyone to have a wonderful camping experience. Very peaceful place. We camped here in a 35 foot rig. Would highly recommend this campground. We will be back!
We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.
Clean, family friendly, beautiful country

A great campground. Well maintained with great atmosphere. Big playground, clean lake, fishing, swimming. Garden of the Gods is not far and a great place to visit and hike. Camp host is very friendly and a local legend. No reservations so must pull in during the week to reserve for the weekend.
We stayed here in a Popup Trailer.
