GREAT RV Park

I'm a 3 time returning customer. I'm a Boilermaker and most people treat us like we are nothing more than cash hog. I've been at this park off and on since 2012 when there is work at the power plant. They have always refunded my money when I get laid off. Every single time I've talked with Shawn and Jami, they have been really nice to me. They've even taken me to their property and let me hunt. Jami has done my laundry for me when I'm too tired from working 10 or 12 hour days 7 days a week. The rent is very reasonable. It's quiet and every lot has a good size yard that always looks nice. This rv park was built for us workers at the plant, not for recreation or vacation. I read grimey's review. I've never been over charged for anything. They actually knock off stuff and give me discounts. On several occasions they have bought me a beer at the local bar when I've been there. They even bought my meal a couple times. So greedy is not at all what these folks are. You meet all kinds on the road. You always find those two-faced people who expect everything for nothing and try to manipulate the system. I heard about one that topped it all while I was there last May. The rent is clear cut. You pay it. It's not rocket science. This is about the only park I've been at that treat us workers like real people and not just a cash hog. These folks are some of the best.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Contrary to previous reviews, we found this campground to be an excellent place to stay. We're in Kansas working on a job at the Jeffrey plant a LONG way from home. And we found the owners to be marvelous. They warmly and kindly welcomed us and provided anything we needed from propane LATE, LATE at night. Shawn (although working a full time job in Topeka) is willing to come to your aid if you need him; even working on a resident's RV electrical problem for over 3 hours one evening.

We found Jami and Shawn and their park to be a bright spot when we were a long way from home. We were never overcharged for anything. Grounds were kept up and both Jami and Shawn were very, very helpful. Once Jami was asked to pick up one of the residents at the airport and she was willing to go out of her way so he would have a ride. We came here not only because it was closer to the job, but in the other park, we would have had to move every 30 days to another lot in the park as per city ordinance. We have been here 9 months and we will be here another 3 or 4 months. Rent is very reasonable, especially for a working man. They had a resident appreciation BBQ, and an on-grounds wedding for one of the residents. Jami and Shawn went above and beyond to accommodate the residents and their guests that were married on site. Lastly, I would recommend this diamond, ignoring a few bad reviews from someone you probably couldn't please anyway.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Shawn has no people skills, is always gruff on the phone and rude in person.the wife attempts to create a welcoming facade vocally but the reality is quite the opposite. Bait and switch. They are greedy and won't miss a chance to overcharge. Beware. Go elsewhere. You'll be glad you did.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

This place is horrible. Looks like someone "started" a campground... but abandoned it midway. There are full hook-ups, sure, but little else. Several spots are occupied with ragged rigs that do not look like they could travel a 2 mile tow.....

Sorry, visit the next park.
