Calling itself a "Resort" is an overstatement, but this campground obviously attracts a significant number of long-term campers. It could be because this campground is one of the few if not the only one in New Jersey that is licensed to be open year-round.

The sites are spacious, have been leveled and are covered with sand and gravel. Many have full hook-ups. Ours had 50-amp electric, water and sewer connections and all worked well. Just a short drive from heavily-traveled and commercialized NJ Route 9 that runs more or less parallel to the New Jersey shore from Jersey City to the Garden State Parkway. This campground is far enough away from the highway and other roads to be quiet, yet is conveniently accessible to both Route 9 and Interstate 195.

Roads into and throughout the campground are mostly sand and can become potholed and rutted during long periods of inclement weather. While we were here in March, some were plowed and smoothed. Amenities include a modest coin-op laundry, flush toilets, lavatories, hot showers, playground, modestly-stocked store and a swimming pool which opens during the summer season.

The March 2017 photos that I've posted speak for itself.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
