Decent and convenient in-town RV park

The park is in a convenient location if you need a night in Carlsbad. It's very RV-focused with just a thin patch of grass for tents (though we were certainly welcomed). Good amenities in bathrooms, hot showers, laundry and a large games room. There was a strange gas-like smell in the air which we later found to be something the town is (unfavorably) famed for, so not specific to the RV park! Would have been a three star rating if it weren't the most expensive place we camped in NM, around 20% higher than places with comparable - and slightly better - amenities, and more pleasant surroundings.

We stayed here in a Tent.

While the staff was friendly & helpful, sites are close with few trees for shade..very dusty..road noise..pool is indoor..we stayed 2 nites, but it looks like there are people who are on extended stay and work nearby...Carlsbad Caverns is 20-30 min away which was great.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park. Super friendly and helpful staff! Large sites with plenty of shade. Clean. About one hour from the caverns. Good dog walking area and plenty of trails nearby.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Peaceful, isolated, close to caverns.

Pretty far from the highway and not many stores around - so be prepared for it. Only 45 minutes to Carlsbad Caverns. The park is on high ground so it was windy. It overlooks a reservoir. There is not much that you can do here it is basically a quiet place to camp. If we returned to see the caverns we would probably only stay overnight and be on our way.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
