| Campground Has Been Around for Awhile & It Shows | |
The Passport America rate for this campground is a bargain even though many of the sites are near a noisy, four-lane highway and much of the infrastructure is old, makeshift and tired-looking.
Cable TV and phone wires are strung helter-skelter across the dirt roads throughout this facility. Two-liter plastic soda bottles half-filled with water are used to plug unused sewer connections and many of the power connection boxes have seen better days.
That said, the people who greeted us there could not have been friendlier, more accommodating or more determined to make sure that we were satisfied with our accommodations. Cable TV is included in their rate, offering many channels. Aside from having a place to spend the night I didn't see any reason to remain there for an extended period.
