This is a very nice military park

This park is a pistol to get to from I-10 west bound in NO. We got turned around and ended up down town. Once we got back on the right road it was a joy to get here. The sites are huge and placed far apart. It right on the main part of the base so every thing is near by. The Navy Exchange and Commissary are within walking distance but the trip back would be a pain with a lot of groceries. The bowling ally is also within walking distance. My only complaint is airplane noise, the train noise does not bother me. Kenny the mgr. is a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding roads and activities in New Orleans. If you are a military member this would be a good stop.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.
