Modern, Secure Campground

Gold
February 7, 2016
This campground is gated, modern and nicely laid out. Every site has a long, smooth, level, slightly elevated concrete pad and modern full hookups conveniently grouped. The cable TV hookups at each site are a tease because the campground is not feeding a signal to them. Fortunately, over-the-air HDTV is available with an antenna. Virtually any kind and size RV can be accommodated. Staff was courteous. Passport America members get a bargain rate.

Although it isn't the campground's fault, the public roads leading to and from this campground are abominable. They're the worst roads I've ever traveled on with my motorhome. There are relentless, noisy, uneven and obnoxious pavement joints that gave our coach a pounding. Concave 15-foot sections of concrete road shaped unlike anything I've ever experienced previously and each section separated by joints, caused our coach to buck up and down like we were riding a bronco. Finally getting to the campground was a welcome relief as was getting into another parish after we departed.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
