Local Directions: Travelers on I-40 east bound and west bound: Take I-75 North in Knoxville, Tennessee. Take the Oneida-Huntsville Exit (141) onto Highway 63. Follow Highway 63 west for 21 miles through Huntsville to U.S. 27. Turn right on U.S. 27 and drive north 26 miles Whitley City, Kentucky. Turn left onto Highway 700. (Caution: there is a railroad track crossing along this road.) Travel one-half a mile to an intersection near the railroad tracks and stay straight at the intersection and continue 5 miles to the Alum Ford Campground and Boat Ramp.
