Campsites were all of nice size. Electric worked fine. The grass was not mowed for weeks. It was very quiet when we camped in a 35 ft RV with tent which was allowed. Shower house was only 1 that had 1 working shower but were not horribly dirty. Had 2 flush toilets the rest were pit toilets and were clean for pits. All the visitors at the walking trails could have been charged a few bucks for parking to help this state park maintain a nicer campground. Rather than run out of funding and not mowing the grass.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

This simple campground was a perfect spot for fall camping. We were very close to Starved Rock and Mattheson Park for hiking. We are definately going back! We were pleased to find a shop on the grounds to purchase wood, marshmellows, etc.
