Former KOA needs some TLC but we liked the park because it was close to the places that we wanted to go to. Happened to be the Republic of Texas (ROT) Motorcycle Rally weekend but unfortunately my bike was in Florida. We were sightseeing most of the day and didn't use any of the facilities but we would stay there again. Plus is Passport rates. And if you like BBQ be sure and go to Franklins.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Found this park very clean and well kept. Sites are kinda tight and roads are paved and ok for big rigs. Nice shady sites and good cable tv. Very convenient to Austin but stay off the interstate during rush hours......Ask for the 3 day Passport America discount for half off rent. When in Austin must see the Esthers Follies on 6th st.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Ok campground for visiting Austin

An old KOA campground. It's a large resort with a lot of different amenities including laundry, pool and playground. The amenities are in good condition.

We had site 67 which was unfortunate as it's right next to the dog walk area with no privacy. As the resort was full, every minute a dog owner would bring their dog to do it's business.

Nothing special about this campground, but it's fine for visiting Austin, just make sure you don't have a site next to the dog walk.

We stayed here in a Truck Camper.

Needs better maintenance

Plus first: 1) good location, close to popular Austin sights; 2) friendly and helpful staff; 3) great breakfast served on weekends. Now for the minuses. The park really needs better maintenance. The roads are rough and narrow, and the sites are too close together. The site we had was shady, but had no patio to speak of. Fire ants on the picnic table, and the picnic table itself looked unsafe for use. It's also pricier than many of the resort RV parks we've stayed at before. We won't stay here again unless we don't have a choice.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Not so much a resort really but it's okay. It is shady and very pet friendly. A warning about the traffic along the interstate is, stay off and away from about three to seven on week days, there is heavy congestion, I found it better to just wait it out in the pool at Lone Star.
