State parks rock, especially this one!

This state park has so much to offer you don't even have to leave. Granted, there is great shopping and sightseeing to be done in door county, but not a requirement. The bike trails and hiking trails are endless, and available water sports are in abundance. The sites are awesome no matter what section you stay in and makes your experience unique each time you go. No matter the middle of summer or fall, it is well worth the trip.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice size state park right on the Green Bay side of Door Peninsula. Great proximity to fun shopping, galleries, and restaurants. Nice biking and hiking trails and access to the water so you can get away from the hustle and bustle. Pretty views. A bit of a hassle not having water or sewer hookups, otherwise this would be the kind of place you could stay awhile.
