July 9, 2013
If you like to be treated badly while vacationing, then go to Sylvan Lake Beach Park. We planned 4 nights camping from July 4, 2013. Next day, when the temperature was 95, we went for a refreshing swim in the lake at the end of the day. Apparently we broke a rule and were not supposed to swim after 6:00 pm (we signed the papers, that’s true). But who would assume that in this extremely hot day, someone would care that we, four adults (over 50th), actually dipped in the refreshing water for a few minutes? The owner of the park with a name Ray zoomed to us and, with a nasty and rude voice, shouted at us to get out of the campground because we broke the rules and went to a water after 6pm. “If you will not be out of the park by 9pm, I will call the police and you will spend this night at the police station.” We tried to talk to him in a nice way, but he just ran away. At 9pm he showed up again and we told him that we are not leaving. Nevertheless, he called the police. When the police arrived, we described the situation - swimming after 6pm is not a big crime, it would be enough if the owner warns us and do not go the extreme. The police fully realized what kind of person that Ray the owner is but couldn’t help us much. They offered us to stay until morning and then leave to avoid dealing with this rude and nasty man. In the morning he came to us again, seeing that we are almost packed and kept yelling and screaming at us.

We stayed here in a Tent.
