Mostly Long-Term Residents

This is a well-maintained urban, desert campground right on a main drag through Mesa and conveniently across the street from the light rail line. There is a grocery store and large pharmacy within a block of the campground. Most sites are level and gravel covered with a concrete patio and all have electric, sewer, water and cable TV hookups.

For long-term residents there are extra-charge phone and DSL Internet hookups available at each site through CenturyLink. Free Wi-Fi is included but it comes and goes and isn't very fast when it's working. Secure restrooms, the coin-operated laundry and a small swimming pool are clean and convenient. The office is open 8 until 5 Monday through Saturday.

During my stay, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. As with most desert locations there isn't much shade and the sites are closely-spaced, but there were orange trees laden with ripe fruit scattered throughout the campground during my December visit.

Since I was visiting in a 35-foot-long Class A motorhome without a car in tow I rented a car from Hertz to do some shopping and run some errands. Hertz has a rental office right across West Main Street from the campground.

This campground provided me with a comfortable, satisfactory experience and was convenient to areas that I needed to visit in Mesa.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
